In September, 2015 The Helping Humanity Fund visited Kim Son Charity School, along with two volunteers from Loving Kindness Vietnam. There are currently 65 students at Kim Son Charity School, the following items were purchased and delivered for these students:
650 Notebooks (10 notebooks for each student)
350 Pencils
300 Pens
1 Soccer Ball
2 Volley Balls
Large bag of play balls
2 board games
5 Pencil Sharpeners
1 packed of rice crackers for each student
1 box of Milo for each student
1 Choco Pie for each student
Total supply + snacks + games costs: 8,115,000 VND
($361.96 USD)
Transportation cost: 500,000 VND ($22.31 USD)
Total expenses (including transportation): 8,615,000 VND / $384.27 USD
*Calculated at an exchange rate of 22,420 VND / $1 USD
In the future, we will likely consolidate this project with our Van Lam project in order to help drive the school supply costs lower.
