Kids In Need Foundation

$2340 Grant Sponsors Navajo Pottery Project for 10 classrooms across the USA

Organization: Kids In Need Foundation

Approved Grant (through donor-advised fund): $2340

Designation:  Navajo Pottery Art Project grants for 10 classrooms serving economically disadvantaged students

Additional Notes:  Last year we recommended this grant, which was broken down into 10 grants of $195 each to be used to fund the Navajo Pottery Project for each classroom.  In all but one of these classrooms, 90 – 100% of the students are reported to be on free or reduced lunch.  In the remaining classroom, over 80% of the students are reported to be on free or reduced lunch.

The balance of the grant was used for the Kids In Need Foundation to fund the administrative expenses of implementation.

We found the Kids In Need Foundation to be among the best organizations we have worked with thus far.  They were highly responsive, and we found their reports to be very comprehensive, detailing each teacher grant, how each project went, along with each teacher’s assessment and photos.  We felt the funds allocated towards this were really well spent.
